Animal OTT Release: The news is out that Ranbir Kapoor’s movie ‘Animal’ is going to be on Netflix starting January 26, which is Republic Day. According to the latest reports, the online version of ‘Animal’ will have some extra scenes and be a bit longer than what was shown in theaters.
The original length of ‘Animal’ was 3 hours and 21 minutes, but now it’s going to be 3 hours and 29 minutes with an extra 8 minutes. Reports also mention that the longer version of the movie, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, will include an additional scene featuring the lead actress, Rashmika Mandanna.
In an earlier interview with trade analyst Komal Nahta, Vanga explained that he was making edits for the OTT release due to some issues in a few shots. He expressed regret about cutting 8-9 minutes from the original version and mentioned that he will now include those extra 5-6 minutes in the extended cut.
There’s a new problem for the movie ‘Animal’, Cine 1 Studios, a co-producer, went to the Delhi High Court to stop the OTT release. They say there was a contract breach and claim they haven’t been paid. According to a PTI report, Cine 1 Studios filed a complaint against T-Series. Despite facing criticism for violence and sexism, ‘Animal’ turned out to be a big hit in 2023, ranking as the third-highest-grossing film worldwide with a total collection of Rs 915 crore. The movie also featured Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, and Triptii Dimri in important roles.
