Bengaluru Explosion: In Bengaluru, there was an explosion happened at a cafe. The suspect went into the cafe around 11:34 am and left at 11:43 am. After leaving the cafe, the suspect walked to a bus stop over a kilometer away.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has offered a reward of โน10 lakh for any information about the person they suspect of causing the explosion. According to reports, CCTV footage from the area has provided some clues about the suspect’s identity.
The footage shows the suspect entering the cafe and then leaving shortly afterward. It also captures the suspect’s movements as they walk to a nearby bus stop. This information could be crucial in identifying and apprehending the suspect involved in the explosion at Rameshwaram Cafe on March 1st.
Earlier this week, the investigation into the explosion at the cafe was given to the NIA. The blast happened at Rameshwaram Cafe in Brookfield, East Bengaluru, on March 1. Around 10 people were injured in the explosion.
Authorities suspect that the blast occurred because of an Improvised Explosive Device (IED). Right after the incident, the Karnataka Police filed a case under strict laws like the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act and the Explosives Substances Act.
This means that the authorities are taking the incident very seriously. They are using these laws to investigate the explosion and determine who is responsible. The NIA, a national agency, is now in charge of the investigation, indicating that it’s a matter of national importance.
On Wednesday, the NIA offered a reward for information about the suspect and released a CCTV image of the person. According to The Indian Express, the suspect arrived at a bus stop near the cafe around 10:45 am, just 100 meters away. He then entered the cafe at 11:34 am, left at 11:43 am, and walked over a kilometer to another bus stop to escape using public buses.
Unnamed sources mentioned in the newspaper said that the CCTV footage of the suspect has provided important clues, including his facial features. This suggests that investigators are making progress in identifying the suspect involved in the explosion at Rameshwaram Cafe. The release of the CCTV image and the reward indicates the seriousness of the investigation and the authorities’ efforts to bring the perpetrator to justice.
The suspect in the Bengaluru cafe blast used multiple public buses to transport the explosive device and flee the scene afterward. According to The Indian Express source, he made several stops along the way, including at a Muslim religious center a few kilometers away from the blast site during his getaway. The sources mentioned in the report revealed that the suspect wore a baseball cap at the cafe, which was later found at one of the stopover locations where he likely changed his clothing.
The explosive device, known as an improvised explosive device (IED), was placed in a corner of the cafe near a hand-washing area. Police sources mentioned in the newspaper report that the device contained nuts and bolts as shrapnel. Fortunately, the impact of the explosion was lessened because of a nearby wall and tree.
These details shed more light on the suspect’s actions before and after the explosion. It appears that the suspect took deliberate steps to evade capture, including using public transportation and changing clothes. The investigation continues as authorities work to identify and apprehend the individual responsible for the attack.
On Sunday, Karnataka’s home minister, G Parameshwara, mentioned that the police were investigating various possible reasons behind the blast at a restaurant in the city. These included business competition, upcoming elections, and scaring off investors who were interested in Bengaluru due to the stable government in the state.
He stated that the police had gathered around 40 to 50 CCTV footage for their investigation. Regarding the suspect’s mode of transportation, Parameshwara mentioned that there was information suggesting the suspect arrived by bus. The police reviewed footage from 26 buses that passed by during that time and managed to identify the bus the suspect used.
The suspect was described as wearing a cap, mask, and glasses, making it difficult for the authorities to get a clear image. Despite these challenges, the police are continuing their efforts to gather more information and identify the perpetrator behind the blast.
