Reason for the fire:
The District Medical and Health Officer, Jagadeeshwara Rao said that the reason for this huge spread of fire accidents is the nitrous oxide that is present in the operation theater. It is used as an Anesthesia. Nitrous Oxide supports combustion as same as oxygen. Nitrous Oxide is also known as “Laughing Gas” which is a colorless, odorless gas that works the same as oxygen. There were approximately 47 patients in the Intensive care unit and the one that had been in the ventilator was very critical.
The Vizag Municipal Corporation officials have reached the spot and monitored it. The Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation commissioner said that appropriate actions will be taken. The fire accident caused a major traffic jam.
