However, the main source of conflict between Israel and Iran is related to the issue of Palestine. Iran indirectly supported Israel when it was attacked by Hamas in Palestine.
Despite requests from many countries and support from the United States Israel kept attacking Palestine. Iran, which initially called for an end to these attacks, became more aggressive and started providing indirect military aid to Hamas.
At the same time, the Hezbollah organization in Iran also supported Hamas directly. This led to increased tensions, and Israel responded with an air strike on the Iranian Embassy in Syria, Israel’s neighboring country.
Iran was very angry after the attack killed over 10 people, including two important commanders who led Islamic forces against Israel. Because of this, war between Israel and Iran was expected to begin at any time, and Iran started the conflict on Saturday at midnight.
Iran fired around 300 ballistic missiles. Since Israel was expecting this, the US helped by shooting down Iranian missiles in support of Israel and immediately striking back with the help of the Iron Dome defense system.
Israel and the US managed to destroy 99% of the missiles fired by Iran, but Iran detonated the remaining 1%. This caused damage to buildings and power outages in many Israeli cities. Israel also accused Iran of hacking its military’s radar and GPS systems.
In response, Israel fired missiles at Iran and started targeting Iranian military bases in Syria. This could lead to Syria joining the conflict against Israel, and many countries around the world are warning that this situation could escalate into a third world war.
