Singer and spiritual therapist Kenishaa Francis has become the target of intense online harassment amid the ongoing divorce proceedings between Tamil actor Jayam Ravi (Ravi Mohan) and his estranged wife, Aarti Ravi. Francis, who is rumored to be in a relationship with Ravi, has publicly shared screenshots of abusive messages and death threats she has received on social media platforms.
In response to the backlash, Francis took to Instagram to address the accusations leveled against her. She stated, “I’m not turning off my comments or running away. I have nothing to hide from nobody.” Challenging her critics, she added, “Please take me to court if you’re confident that I’m even a catalyst to anything that is happening around me now. I beg you—take me to court!”
The controversy intensified following Aarti Ravi’s public statement implying that a “third person” was responsible for the breakdown of her 15-year marriage. Although Aarti did not directly name Francis, the timing of her statement, coupled with Ravi’s recent public appearances with Francis, has fueled speculation.
Ravi Mohan, who announced his separation from Aarti in 2024, has defended his relationship with Francis, referring to her as his “lifeline” during a period of emotional and financial turmoil. He has accused Aarti of subjecting him to years of abuse and has expressed frustration over being estranged from their children.
As the legal proceedings continue, Aarti is reportedly seeking ₹40 lakh per month in alimony. The case has garnered significant public attention, with both parties sharing their perspectives on social media, leading to a polarized public discourse.
Francis has urged the public to refrain from spreading hatred and to allow the legal process to unfold. She emphasized her willingness to face legal scrutiny, stating, “If I’m wrong, I’m ready to be punished by law. Until then, can I be allowed to breathe without hatred?”
