In a shocking incident at the Lok Sabha, a major security breach happened yesterday when two individuals, entered with smoke sticks and jumped into the House from the visitors’ gallery. However, the pass they got with Prathap Simha’s signature raises alarming questions about the security protocols in that place. Several Members of Parliament were shocked by the breach and pointed out the strong security measures in the parliamentary complex. Usually, visitors have to go through five security checks, and getting a pass for the visitors’ gallery requires approval from an MP’s office. This surprising security failure happened 22 years after the well-known 2001 attack on Parliament.
