Malayalam actress Renjusha Menon was discovered dead in her apartment in Thiruvananthapuram on Monday morning. She was 35 years old and was found hanging in the apartment she shared with her husband, Manoj, who is also an actor. According to some reports, she was facing money problems when she died.
While the initial belief is that it was suicide, officials are looking into the details of how she passed away. The body will undergo an autopsy later.
Based on local reports, the actor, originally from Kochi, began her career as a TV show host before moving on to TV series. She began her acting journey on television with the series ‘Sthree’ and continued to be part of other projects.

She gained recognition for her supporting roles in various TV shows and movies like ‘City of God,’ ‘Marykkundoru Kunjaadu,’ ‘Bombay March,’ ‘Karyasthan,’ ‘One Way Ticket,’ ‘Athbhutha Dweepu,’ and more. These roles made her very famous and brought her into the spotlight.
She also produced several TV serials. Additionally, Ms. Menon was a skilled Bharatanatyam dancer. Her father is C G Ravindranath, and her mother is Umadevi.
Just a few hours before her passing, the actress shared a humorous video on Instagram with her ‘Anandha Ragam’ co-star, Sreedevi Anil.
Just last month, another Malayalam actor, Aparna Nair, took her own life. The 33-year-old actress, who appeared in a few movies and many TV series, was discovered hanging in her room at her home. Aparna was living with her husband and their children, as per the police.
