Mukesh Ambani, the chairperson of Reliance Industries, has been targeted with a third death threat via email, with the sender now demanding a staggering ₹400 crore. What makes this situation even more alarming is that the threat comes from the same individual who sent two previous emails on October 27, initially seeking ₹200 crore from Ambani.
Increased demands by the sender
The situation has taken a worrisome turn, as the sender has escalated their demands due to Ambani’s lack of response to the previous threats. Mumbai Police have taken swift action, registering a case against an unidentified individual at Gamdevi Police Station in Mumbai.
Due to these serious threats, the security at Mukesh Ambani’s home in south Mumbai has been greatly increased. The first email he got on October 27 was really scary. It said that if Ambani didn’t give them ₹20 crore, they would kill him because they have the best shooters in India.
Ambani’s security personnel promptly reported the incident, leading to the registration of a case under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Investigations into the matter are actively underway.
Threats History
Unfortunately, this is not the first time Mukesh Ambani and his family have faced such alarming threats. In 2022, an unidentified individual made a threat to blow up the Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital in south Mumbai. In August of the same year, a jeweler was arrested for allegedly threatening to harm Ambani and his family members by calling the hospital. The situation reached a critical point in February 2021 when an explosive-laden Sports Utility Vehicle was discovered near Ambani’s south Mumbai residence, ‘Antilia.’
As the demands from the sender increase, Mukesh Ambani’s security remains a top priority. The troubling history of threats against Ambani and his family underscores the need for continued vigilance in the face of such alarming incidents.
