Maharashtra Congress leader Vijay Wadettiwar claimed that Kangana Ranaut once admitted to consuming beef. He made this allegation during a public rally on April 5, questioning the BJP’s decision to nominate her as a Lok Sabha candidate.
In response to Wadettiwar’s accusation, Maharashtra BJP spokesperson Keshav Upadhye criticized the Congress party’s culture, calling it “dirty.” He condemned Wadettiwar’s remarks against Kangana Ranaut, suggesting that they were an attempt to tarnish her reputation.
Upadhye criticized the Congress party, saying, “This reflects Congress’ dirty culture. It cannot fight us on issues. This shows the party’s defeatist mentality.”
In the upcoming Lok Sabha elections 2024, there is speculation that the Congress party may nominate Vikramaditya Singh, who serves as the Minister of Public Works Department and Urban Development in the Himachal Pradesh government, to contest against BJP candidate Kangana Ranaut in the Mandi parliamentary constituency.
The Mandi parliamentary constituency is currently represented in the Lok Sabha by Vikramaditya’s mother, Pratibha Singh. She also serves as the state party president. Himachal Pradesh is scheduled to vote in the final phase of the Lok Sabha elections 2024 on June 1. The counting of votes will happen on June 4.
