The actor is upset and has complained to the police about a social media account that shared it. Ranveer’s representative said he filed a report with the Cyber Crime Cell to look into the matter. This action was taken after the fake video started spreading online.
Ranveer Singh took action against his deepfake video. His spokesperson confirmed that they filed a complaint with the police. They lodged a First Information Report (FIR) against the social media account that shared the AI-generated deepfake video. The video showed Ranveer expressing his political opinions. Even though the visuals were real, the audio was made using artificial intelligence to imitate Ranveer’s voice. The incident occurred during Ranveer’s recent visit to Varanasi.
It all began when Ranveer Singh became the star of a fashion show held by the Ganges River in Varanasi. Fashion designer Manish Malhotra organized the event, and Ranveer was the main attraction. While in Varanasi, Ranveer praised the improvements in the city’s public infrastructure and shared his wonderful experience of being in the city, calling it ‘divine’.
After the deepfake video started spreading on social media, Ranveer Singh addressed it on his Instagram Stories. He posted a message saying, “Beware of deepfakes, friends.” Although he didn’t directly mention the circulating video, it was clear he was referring to it. Ranveer wanted to warn his followers about the dangers of deepfake technology.
Ranveer Singh has exciting movies lined up for his fans. He will be back as Simmba in Rohit Shetty’s upcoming cop movie, “Singham Again.” This film features a star-studded cast including Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, and Tiger Shroff.
