Ambedkar is called the father of the Indian Constitution. His original name is Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar, and he was born on April 14, 1891. The first Law and Justice Minister of independent India was B. R. Ambedkar. In 1990, Ambedkar was given India’s highest honor, the ‘Bharat Ratna‘, after his death. He is also recognized for creating the legal framework for our country and contributing in various ways. To honor him, a new statue was built in Vijayawada.
The World’s Largest Ambedkar Statue is being revealed in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, tomorrow dated (19.01.2024). Chief Minister Jagan Mohan will be inaugurating the statue. This Ambedkar Statue stands at a height of 125 feet. It is placed on an 81-foot-high pedestal, making the total height of 206 feet. The statue is named as ‘Statue of Social Justice’

The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, laid the foundation stone for a 125-foot-tall statue of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar at Swaraj Maidan in Vijayawada. The total cost of this project is Rs 400 crore or $48 million. The statue is located on a 20-acre land in the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Smriti Vanam in Vijayawada.
