New Delhi, May 23, 2025 — As part of India’s ongoing global diplomatic outreach following Operation Sindoor, the UAE and Japan have officially extended their support to India’s stand against terrorism, sending a strong international message of solidarity. Delegations from India arrived in both countries on Thursday and briefed local officials on Pakistan’s role in sponsoring cross-border terror, particularly in the wake of the April 22 Pahalgam attack.
The outreach is part of a larger campaign launched by India to rally global opinion against state-sponsored terrorism, with seven multi-party delegations scheduled to visit various nations. The mission was initiated shortly after India launched Operation Sindoor, a military retaliation aimed at neutralizing terrorist hideouts across the border.
UAE: “Islam Does Not Teach Killing of Innocents”
A delegation led by Shiv Sena MP Shrikant Shinde visited the United Arab Emirates, where they met key Emirati officials, including the UAE’s Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahyan. The Indian representatives outlined the timeline and evidence of Pakistan-sponsored attacks, with a focus on the recent strike in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam. According to diplomatic sources, UAE officials expressed strong support for India’s diplomatic stand and reiterated, “Islam does not teach the killing of innocent civilians.”
The Indian delegation also held a second round of talks with UAE parliamentary colleagues. The team included BJP leaders Bansuri Swaraj and Atul Garg, senior advocate Manan Kumar Mishra, IUML’s ET Mohammed Basheer, BJD MP Sasmit Patra, BJP leader SS Ahluwalia, and former diplomat Sujan Chinoy.
Japan Expresses Strong Solidarity
In Japan, a separate delegation led by JD(U) MP Sanjay Jha received an equally firm response. During talks with Japan’s Foreign Minister Takeshi Iwaya, the Japanese side confirmed its full support for India’s anti-terror stance. /*“In this fight against terrorism, Japan stands with India,” said Foreign Minister Iwaya, according to sources familiar with the discussions. The meetings in Tokyo were aimed at ensuring global backing for India’s counter-terrorism strategy and exposing Pakistan’s use of proxy warfare.
PM Modi’s Message: “Pakistan’s Drama Won’t Work Anymore”
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his first public address since the launch of Operation Sindoor, delivered a blunt message to Pakistan during a rally in Rajasthan’s Bikaner. “Pakistan cannot win a direct war with India. That’s why it uses terrorism as a tool. But its drama will no longer work. The entire world is being shown Pakistan’s true face,” the Prime Minister said. He added that seven Indian delegations are currently traveling across the globe, building diplomatic consensus and reinforcing the message that India will not tolerate terror, nor will it hesitate to act decisively in its defense.
