Surya Kumar Yadav is an Indian international cricketer who represents the Indian cricket team in ODI & T20I Formats.

Yadav was born in14 September 1990 at Mumbai. He played his club cricket in Mumbai.

Yadav was one of the senior and regular members of the Mumbai Ranji team and captained the Mumbai cricket team in the Ranji trophy.

In the year 2018 and 2019, Yadav was selected in India C's squad for the Deodhar Trophy.

His international cricket journey was started in 2021 T20 International series against England.

He received an IPL contract from Mumbai Indians (MI) for the 2012 season. After a successful journey with the Mumbai Indians, they retained Yadav for INR 8 Crore in IPL 2023.

Being ranked as ICC No.1 T20 batsman and awarded the Men's Cricketer of the Year 2022, he ended up being one of the most valuable players in IPL 2023. He was made the Vice Captain of Mumbai Indians in IPL 2023.

In August 2023, Yadav was selected for the India tour of West Indies in ODIs and also selected as the vice-captain for Indian Cricket Team in T20Is. He is also a part of 2023 Asia Cup winning squad of Team India.

Later, he was selected for the Australia tour of India in OdIs and also for India's World Cup squad. In 1st and 2nd One day internationals with Australia, he made two consecutive half centuries.

After India lost the World Cup 2023 Finals, Surya served as intern captain of the T20 series against Australia and South Africa.
