Documents Required for SBI Net Banking
Signing up for SBI online banking, or net banking, doesn’t demand numerous documents. However, it’s essential to have the following details ready when going through the registration process:
- SBI Account Number.
- CIF Number.
- SBI Branch Code.
- SBI ATM Card Information.
A Step-by-Step Guide to Activate SBI Netbanking
Follow these straightforward steps to register for SBI net banking without visiting the branch:
Step 1: Visit the SBI Net Banking Website

Open your preferred web browser, such as Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox, and go to the official SBI Net Banking website.
Step 2: Access the “Personal Banking” Section

Navigate to the ‘Personal Banking’ section and click on ‘Continue To Login’. By doing so, you agree to the Terms of Service for SBI Internet Banking.
Step 3: Click on “New User Registration”

Look for the option labeled “New User Registration/Activate” and click on it to proceed with the registration.
Step 4: Enter Your Details

Provide accurate details, including your account number, CIF number, branch code, country, and registered mobile number on the registration page.
- Account Number – Available in your passbook and/or statement of account.
- CIF Number – Also Available in your passbook and/or statement of account.
- Branch Code – Enter a 5-digit branch code.
- Country – Select your country.
- Registered Mobile Number – Enter your mobile number should be registered with the Bank.
- Facility required – Select Transaction Rights as Full Transaction Rights.
Enter the Captcha and click “I Agree” and “Submit” button.
Step 5: Generate an OTP

Generate a One-Time Password (OTP) by following the instructions. Enter the OTP sent to your registered mobile number in the designated field and click “Submit”.
Step 6: Register through ATM Card

Choose the option ‘I have my ATM card’ and enter the necessary ATM card details. Online registration for SBI net banking requires an ATM card; otherwise, you’ll need to visit the bank branch.
ATM Card Details are shown, review and click “Confirm”.
Step 7: Debit Card Validation


Enter the Card Holder Name, Expiry Date, ATM 4-digit PIN, and Captcha, and click “Proceed”. After providing the correct details, the debit card validation success screen will appear. Click “Click Here” to return to the Retail Portal.
Step 8: Create a Permanent Login Username & Password



Create a username and follow the prompts to generate a strong login password. Ensure it is secure yet easy for you to remember. Click ‘Submit.’
Step 9: Registration Confirmation

The registration confirmation screen will appear after following all the steps properly.

Use your newly created username and password to log in to your SBI Net Banking account.
Step 10: Complete the Registration Process

After logging in, complete the registration process, providing any additional required information, such as your email address and security questions.
Step 11: Activate Your Account
Once the registration process is complete, your SBI Net Banking account will be activated, allowing you to perform various online banking transactions.
If you don’t have an ATM card, download the net banking registration form from the SBI website, fill it out, and submit it to your account’s branch to apply for internet banking.

If you are an SBI Corporate Banking user, follow these steps to log in:
Step 1: Go to the official SBI e-banking website at www.onlinesbi.sbi.
Step 2: Navigate to the YONO State Bank of India Corporate Banking section.
Step 3: Select ‘Corporate’ from the drop-down menu and click the ‘Login’ button (refer to the picture below for clarity).
Step 4: On the following page, enter your User ID, Password, and Captcha. Click ‘Login’ to access the net banking portal.
