Atlee mentioned that Shah Rukh Khan and Thalapathy Vijay are very excited to act together and are keen to collaborate on-screen.
Shah Rukh Khan’s movie “Jawan” is doing really well at the global box office. In a chat with Siddharth Kannan, director Atlee hinted at the potential teaming up of Shah Rukh Khan and Thalapathy Vijay for another film. Before “Jawan” came out, some fans thought Thalapathy Vijay might have a special cameo in the movie, but that didn’t happen.
Atlee talked to Siddharth Kannan about the possibility of the two superstars collaborating, mentioning that both of them are keen to work together on a project. He mentioned that both Vijay sir and Shah Rukh sir expressed the idea of bringing a script to work together. Atlee initially thought they were saying it as a birthday gift. The following day, Vijay sir messaged him, expressing his interest in being a part of the script. Shah Rukh sir, who was beside him, inquired, ‘Are you serious about this? We will make a film together, right?’
Atlee then mentioned that he is eagerly anticipating bringing that project to life. He shared that from time to time, they ask him if he’s really dedicated to the project or just joking about it. He assured them that he is sincerely working on it and is hopeful for its success in the future.
“Jawan” marks the initial partnership between Shah Rukh and Atlee. At the same time, Atlee has collaborated with Vijay three times in the movies “Theri” (2016), “Mersal” (2017), and “Bigil” (2019).
“Jawan” has joined the ₹800 crore club in global box office earnings. In India, it is on track to surpass ₹500 crore, achieving the fastest ₹400 crore milestone for a Hindi movie. Released on September 7, the film stars Shah Rukh in dual roles as Vikram Rathore and his son Azad. Additionally, it features special appearances by Deepika Padukone and Sanjay Dutt.
