Barbie Review

In the land of Barbie, life happens in Barbie land. The movie completely distinguishes the real and Barbie worlds. Both of the world didn’t know about the other existence. The Barbara Barbie played by Margot. It’s a nice place where Barbie has lots of Barbie friends, and she’s always smiling at her special friend, Ken (played by Ryan Gosling). That makes her feel happy and like she has a purpose. But things in this perfect world suddenly change for Barbara. One day, Barbie’s heels touch the ground, her breakfast waffle burns, and the shower, which used to pretend, now has real water.

It’s a bit confusing for Barbie and her Barbie friends. They can’t figure out why Stereotypical Barbie is feeling sad. All the Barbies appear to be extremely cheerful to show the trait of a woman who is polite and calm. Someone suggests asking Weird Barbie (played by Kate McKinnon) for advice. Weird Barbie thinks Barbie should go into the real world and find the child who plays with her. Maybe that child is feeling sad, and those feelings are affecting Barbie.

So, Barbie and Ken go on a trip to Los Angeles. The real world is not what they expected. They meet Gloria (played by America Ferrera), who works at Mattel, the company that made Barbie. Gloria is going through a tough time at work and dealing with her daughter Sasha (played by Ariana Greenblatt), who causes a lot of problems. When the boss at Mattel (played by Will Ferrell) learns that Barbie is in the real world, he wants to put her in a metaphorical ‘Box.’

The movie, created by Greta Gerwig and Noah Baumbach, is described as wild, crazy, and focused on humanity. It’s a loving tribute to growing up, mixing realness with the pretend world of musicals. Barbie’s journey from her pink, bubbly world to reality is full of imagination. Everyone accepts that different versions of Barbie can have different jobs, live in cool houses, and change outfits instantly. Even all the Kens can hang out at the beach, even if they can’t swim or surf.

Barbie comes in various forms, like President Barbie (played by Issa Rae) and Dr. Barbie (played by Hari Nef), and they’re based on real dolls. The creator of Barbie, Ruth Handler (played by Rhea Perlman), also appears. She says, “Humans have only one ending. Ideas live forever.” This inspires Barbie to want to be the one with the ideas, not just someone’s creation. Helen Mirren, as the narrator, adds seriousness and fun to the story.
