The Mystery Surrounding Kalabhavan Mani’s Death: IPS Officer Revealed Shocking Details

When Kalabhavan Mani passed away, a cloud of speculation hung over the circumstances of his death. Recently, IPS officer PN Unnirajan, a key investigator in the case, shed light on the real reasons behind the actor’s untimely demise.

Comprehensive Investigation and Recovered Objects

In an interview with Safari Channel, Unnirajan detailed the thoroughness of the investigation. All objects found on the premises were recovered, and statements were recorded from everyone present, including friends like Jafar Idukki and Tarikida Sabu. Finding methyl alcohol in Mani’s bloodstream raised alarms, as Unnirajan detailed the risks linked to this substance.

The Methyl Alcohol Factor

Unnirajan clarified that methyl alcohol, found in Mani’s blood, is not suitable for consumption. He highlighted the hazardous threshold when its content exceeds 30 mg per 100 ml of blood. The inquiry considered different scenarios, including the intake of arrack or distilled alcohol. However, it came to light that Mani had consumed arrack three months earlier. Traces of pesticides in his blood raised questions about the consumption of raw vegetables.

Health Neglect and Diabetes

The investigation brought to light Mani’s chronic diabetes, emphasizing his neglect of health warnings. Unnirajan highlighted that Mani was prescribed a diabetes tablet, clearly stating the dangers of drinking alcohol while taking it. Despite this, Mani took the tablet on the fateful day, contributing to the chemical reaction in his body.

Last Days and Friends’ Testimonies

Details about Kalabhavan Mani‘s deteriorating health and his last stage performance surfaced. Despite his weakened physical state, he performed for three hours. Friends like Jaffer Idukki and Tharikida Sabu supported the claim that Mani had only consumed beer on the day of his death. Chemical analysis of the beer bottles revealed the presence of methyl alcohol, prompting discussions about beer containing methylated spirits.

CBI Involvement and Unveiling the Truth

The medical board in Thiruvananthapuram analyzed Mani’s condition and the causes of his death. Despite concerns voiced by his brother Ramakrishnan, the CBI, assuming control of the investigation, arrived at the same conclusion as the initial inquiry. In essence, the investigation pointed to Mani’s own actions – neglecting health warnings and consuming excessive amounts of beer, ultimately inviting his tragic demise.
