Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam, who last collaborated on the cult gangster drama ‘Nayakan’ three and a half decades ago, have joined forces again. The yet-to-be-titled film, tentatively called ‘KH234’, recently had its launch event, and the crew list was revealed.

‘KH234’ is a collaborative production between Kamal Haasan, Mani Ratnam, R. Mahendran, and Siva Ananth, working in collaboration with production companies Raaj Kamal Films International, Madras Talkies, and Red Giant Movies. The film also features AR Rahman as the music composer and Sreekar Prasad as the editor, both frequent collaborators with Mani Ratnam.
Ravi K Chandran, known for his work on Mani Ratnam’s previous projects like ‘Kannathil Muthamittal’ and ‘Aayutha Ezhuthu’, is in charge of cinematography. Action choreography is overseen by the Anbariv masters, who previously collaborated with Kamal on ‘Vikram.’ Sharmishta Roy is the production designer, and Ekha Lakhani is responsible for costume design.
While the cast details remain undisclosed, there have been reports of discussions with Trisha, Jayam Ravi, and Dulquer Salmaan for potential roles in the film. ‘KH234’ is expected to hit the screens in 2024.
