2024 Royal Enfield Hunter 450: Know About the Exciting New Updates

Royal Enfield Hunter 450: Royal Enfield is bringing out several new bikes on its 450cc platform. Following the Himalayan 450, the next one in line is anticipated to be the Hunter 450. This move strengthens the company’s commitment to expanding its offerings beyond the existing 350cc and 650cc segments.

The Hunter 450 is expected to launch later this year, around the festive season. Royal Enfield aims to replicate the success of the Hunter 350 with its compact design, retro look, and agile performance.

Hunter 350

The Hunter 350 is currently the second best-selling Royal Enfield bike, ranked just below the Classic 350 and the new Bullet 350. The Hunter 450 is likely to share the same features as its smaller counterpart, making it an appealing choice for enthusiasts seeking enhanced performance.

The new Hunter 450 will take design from its smaller sibling, the Hunter 350. A recent test model displayed a row headlamp, circular instrument console, single-piece seat, and an engine bash plate. The fuel tank design is similar to the Hunter 350, unlike the one on the Himalayan 450. Interestingly, the rear lighting setup is directly borrowed from the Himalayan 450, creating a mix of features for the upcoming Hunter 450.

The bike has tail lamps built into the turn indicators, making the back view cleaner and reducing weight to some extent. The use of LEDs enhances visibility and reliability. Unlike the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, which has USD forks in the front, the Hunter 450 represents standard telescopic forks. It has fork gaiters for a sporty appearance and to enhance off-road capabilities. Similar to its smaller counterpart, the Hunter 450 offers a comfortable, upright riding position. The rider’s seat is designed like a bucket, ensuring a height of around 800mm. This improves control and handling, making the bike suitable even for shorter riders.

The round instrument console is like the one on the Himalayan 450. The 4-inch TFT dash adds to the bike’s look and shows various information with a simple and easy-to-use design. Users can also use Google-powered turn-by-turn navigation. The Hunter 450 has a mono-shock suspension at the rear and disc brakes at both ends for braking. Dual-channel ABS is likely to be standard. The bike is powered by a 452cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder Sherpa engine.

The motorcycle has a maximum power of 40.02 horsepower and a peak torque of 40 Newton-meters. It comes with a 6-speed gearbox. Royal Enfield might make some adjustments to the engine to better suit a roadster. Among Royal Enfield’s 450cc bikes, the Hunter 450 will be positioned as a more budget-friendly option compared to the Himalayan 450. The bike doesn’t have an official name yet, but ‘Hunter 450’ doesn’t sound like a bad choice.
