The story of The Village focuses on Gautham Subramanian, a young doctor, and his family. They get stuck in the lonely village of Kattiyal because their car breaks down while traveling from Nagapattinam to Chennai. In 1977, Wes Craven created a film named “The Hills Have Eyes”, starting a series where families find themselves lost in lonely places and pursued by scary families. The film received good reviews and gave rise to numerous films, becoming a favorite for many. It seems like this movie influenced Milind Rau’s “The Village”. Arya’s “The Village” is a chilling series set in the empty areas of Tamil Nadu. It’s a brave project inspired by a scary graphic novel by Asvin Srivatsangam, Vivek Rangachari, and Shamik Dasgupta.
